The body of a York County man missing since July 6 was found last Friday in Westmoreland County.
Robert Eno, 58, was found in Colonial Beach, according to Capt. Troy Lyons of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office. The car he had been driving, a teal-colored Ford Focus, was found Sept. 5, triggering a search by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office.
Foul play is not suspected, Lyons said. He said no further details of the investigation will be released, at the request of the family.
Eno left his Upper York County home July 6, leaving behind a note saying he had gone camping, which York County investigators found to be out of character. When he was reported missing, family members described him, through a Sheriff’s Department press release, as “recently distraught and possibly suffering from mental issues.”
On July 13, Eno’s employer obtained a warrant for his arrest for having a company car without permission. When he was first reported missing, investigators believed he might have traveled to Richmond, Fredericksburg or Colonial Beach.
