Local Musician Performs Civil War Tunes

Local musician Timothy Seaman performs selections from his just-released CD, “Tenting on the Old Campground,” a collection of tunes from the Civil War era from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at Williamsburg Booksellers, 101-A Visitor Center Dr., Williamsburg.

Copies of his new CD will be available for purchase for $14.95.

Seaman specializes in the hammered dulcimer but features the mountain dulcimer, bowed psaltery and a variety of flutes in his performances.  His CDs – “Celtic Airs,” “Celebration of Centuries,” “Wayfaring Stranger,” “Virginia Wildlife,” “Sycamore Rapids” and others – will be available for purchase.

The event is free and open to the public.
