After an outstanding performance at North Carolina on Sunday, William and Mary junior Caitlyn Cook Furr has been selected as this week’s Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Coaches’ Choice award winner.
Cook Furr was able to keep her composure and compete despite having a close family member in the hospital facing imminent surgery.
The Poquoson native posted a 9.500 on bars, which was her second-best score of the season, and earned a career-high 9.375 on beam. Her performances helped W&M record its best team score of the season.
The Tribe will return to action this weekend when it competes at Pitt on Saturday at 6 p.m.
