Auto Shop to Open New Location

December 28th, 2011 by Desiree Parker

American Pride Automotive plans to add an additional location in James City County.

The business submitted a special use application for an auto service and sales location at 7793 Richmond Road, at the former Pop’s Marine location beside Toano Middle School. The building on the parcel is roughly 5,000 square feet.

American Pride Automotive currently has two locations; the original site on George Washington Memorial Highway in Yorktown and a second location along Airport Road in the old John Deere building.

According to the company’s website, the business expects to open its third location in spring 2012.

The application is expected to go before the Planning Commission on Jan. 4. The commission meets at 7 p.m. in Building F of the county government complex on Mounts Bay Road.

This business works hard to fulfil all the requirements of being community friendly. It is honest, green, provides services gratis to needy persons, and knows it’s stuff, adding no unnecessary repairs or services.
I have been more than happy with the workers’ attitudes at it’s Airport Rd. location, the respect shown for my time, and the accurate and timely recommendations for required work on my 2003 Toyota. They even provided access to my Senator and Congressmember at an event held there!

I, too, think American Pride has proven themselves many times over to be good neighbors. Glad they are expanding.
