As it turns out, Hurricane Irene won’t claim freshman orientation at Williamsburg-James City County public schools as its victim.
The freshmen wouldn’t have it.
Due to popular demand, freshman orientation has been rescheduled for Thursday at the following times:
Jamestown High School: Freshmen should come to the school at 3:30 p.m. for an orientation that will last until 5 p.m. Students will receive their schedules, get a tour of the building and “insiders’ tips” from their O-Crew leaders. Students may then stay for the open house that follows from 5 to 7 p.m., at which parents are welcome. Those with questions should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lafayette High School: Parents and rising freshmen are invited to the LHS auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m. The PTSA will make a presentation about adjusting to high school. Rambassadors will continue orienting freshmen throughout the year.
Warhill High School: Warhill freshmen are invited to WHS’s Open House, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a special session at 6 p.m. for freshmen and newcomers in the auditorium.
