LIVE UPDATES from both double-headers at Cooley Field and Wanner Stadium. Warhill and Jamestown’s girls kick things off at 5:30, followed by Jamestown and Lafayette’s boys at 7:15.

**UPDATE** The starts of both girls’ games have been pushed back to 6:00 p.m. because of the heat index. Currently at 105 degrees, it must drop below 104 for the games to resume.

GIRLS

Warhill vs. James Monroe, Wanner Stadium, 5:30 p.m.

Warhill 3  James Monroe 1  FINAL

Warhill goes up 3-1 five minutes into the second half off Chelsea Wolfe’s left-footed ripper from the top of the box.

Warhill leads 2-1 at the intermission. Ashley Williams scored on a nice feed from Chelsea Wolfe just before halftime.

James Monroe ties game 1-1 in 23rd minute off Becca Fisher’s left-footer from top of the box.

Warhill ahead 1-0 after Lindsay Williams’ header deflected off a James Monroe defender and into goal. Assisted by Vicki Underwood.

 

Jamestown vs. Powhatan, Cooley Field, 5:30

Jamestown leads 10-1 with under five minutes to play

Jamestown ahead 7-1 in the second half

Buskey records a hat trick in the first half as Jamestown holds a commanding 5-1 advantage at the half.

Jamestown leads 3-0 in first 10 minutes off goals from Sherlanda Buskey, who scored twice, and Nicolette Young.

BOYS

Jamestown vs. Park View, Wanner Stadium, 7:15 p.m.

Nathan Allred’s turn. His goal in the 50th minute hands the Eagles a 12-0 lead.

11-0 Jamestown on Chris Davis’ (hat trick) third goal of the night.

Dylan Franklin’s goal with 8:35 left in the first half pushes Jamestown’s lead to 10-0.

Jamestown now leads 9-0. Hunter Hartnett scored his second goal of game and Chris Davis added two more, the last of which in the 24th minute.

Jamestown ahead 6-0 on Jon Collum’s goal in the 14th minute.

Jamestown leads 5-0 in the first 10 minutes. O’Brien (2 goals), Hunter Hartnett, Frank Imoehl and Dan Geyer all have scored.

Lafayette vs. Prince Edward, Cooley Field, 7:15 p.m.

Lafayette 2  Prince Edward 0 FINAL

Rahim Costa-Dorsey’s penalty kick in the final minute puts the Rams up 2-0.

Robert Stephens’ goal in the 56th minute finally breaks the scoreless tie. Lafayette leads 1-0

Still scoreless with 25 minutes to play. Lafayette out-shooting Prince Edward 14-1.
