Hometown: Pepperoni, Please

April 29th, 2010 by Tom Davis

I’ve loved pizza for as long as I can remember. I will eat it plain, covered in vegetables, pineapple, or piled high with pepperoni. Kellie and Eric Kruizenga have re-opened the Z Pizza in New Town, providing fresh and healthy options to satisfy my pizza cravings!

Z_pizzaName: Kellie and Eric Kruizenga

Business: Z Pizza

Website: www.zpizza.com

Location: 4902 Courthouse Street, Williamsburg (New Town)

How long have you owned your business? Two months!

How long have you been in this area? Five years. We have lived all over the United States while working in the hospitality business.

How did you get into this business? We have family in the Z Pizza business. We always appreciated the quality and service that the business provided. We wanted to open one when we lived in Arizona, but were transferred to this area (by janus). When the opportunity presented itself a few months ago to re-open the Z Pizza in New Town, we jumped at it!

What makes your business successful? We have very fresh ingredients. Our produce is delivered three times a week and we go to the local grocery to get the ingredients that are used less often. We make sure our customers get a high quality product! We also offer gluten free pizza!

Thanks, Meredith, for spotlighting our town’s entrepreneurship returning…. Capitalism, Z Pizza, at its best. This confirmed capitalist likes these types of local stories!!!!

Capitalism, YES! Tea Partiers and other miscreants who use public amenities, guard social security benefits, and selfishly shout everything down (except overdue financial reform), NO!
