November 27th, 2009 by Kim Lenz

CW-Lodge-xmasThe Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance ushers in the holiday season with the launch of a brand new landing page – www.ChristmasinWilliamsburg.com – to promote the Historic Triangle as a premier Christmas destination.

Online visitors will enjoy the convenience of a one-stop resource for all things “holiday” throughout the region, including special events, holiday programs and performances, shopping and dining information, plus holiday vacation packages for families and all ages.

“With more terrific programs and activities than ever this holiday season, the Alliance wanted to make it easier for visitors and residents alike to recognize and enjoy all our area offers them,” said Bob Harris, Alliance vice president, tourism.

The new holiday landing page is being highlighted in Alliance newsletters and press releases to the travel industry and consumer travel writers nationally.

The new site is being updated regularly, and Alliance members and groups interested in submitting a holiday event, promotion or travel package for inclusion can contact Joanna Skrabala, skrabala@williamsburgcc.com.

Ho Ho Ho! I hate to be negative about this great effort to market our area; however, why in the world was it so late in being deployed? It seems like we are always a day late and a dollar short. while most holiday travelers have long since made their plans we are now just letting them know what we have available. How about getting ahead of the curve next time around. Let’s not wait until mid-July to highlight our summer offerings – nice try anyway.
