York County sheriff’s investigators are looking for this man, who is believed to have snatched a money box from a pair of employees who were going to fill the drive-up ATM.

Deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office are looking for a black male suspect in connection with an ATM money box theft Thursday.

Around 9:40 a.m. two bank employees at the Langley Federal Credit Union on Route 17 in Grafton were preparing to load the drive-up ATM when the suspect grabbed the box containing a substantial amount of cash and fled on foot.

The suspect is said to be in his early-to-mid 20s, about 130 to 140 pounds, and is about 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans as well as a red ball cap and dark aviator sunglasses.

York Sgt. Dennis Ivey, Jr. said witnesses reported the suspect was hanging around the credit union building prior to the theft.
