Crime Line: York Seeks Info on Burglaries

The York- Poquoson Sheriffs Office needs information on the following crimes.

Sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 unknown person(s) forced entry to a rear door at the Providence United Methodist Church, located in the 100 block of Old Dare Road in York County. Once inside the church the intruder(s) stole household-type items, including coffee pots and paper towel holder and similar items.

On Sept. 2 around 11:35 a.m. a friend of the homeowners came to a house located in the 100 block of Hodges Cove Road, also in the Dare area of the county, and found a stranger inside the attached garage. The suspect, who is described as a white female, 5’4” and 130 pounds with brown, straight, medium-length hair, was seen rummaging through the car inside the garage. She stole approx $3 in change and ran towards Jernigan Lane.
