Storm Causes York Power Outages

A fast-moving storm dumped rain on York County Wednesday evening, and high winds took out power to around a thousand homes in southern York.

The storm, which blew through between about 8 and 9 p.m., toppled trees and brought down overhead power lines.

Dominion Virginia Power crews were working on Link Road after midnight to restore power in a neighborhood near Lakes at Dare.
